We have just hired a fab gardener to join us part-time but we still have gardens waiting for us so we need another gardener. One who genuinely loves plants and cares about doing a great job for customers and their gardens. This a fully-employed, either full-time or part-time position. We are ideally looking for a minimum of 3 days per week. All tools are provided and you travel between jobs in a Company van.
We are a well-established and growing garden maintenance company looking after a wide variety of gardens around Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.
In a typical day you arrive at our base in Tonbridge at 7.30am sharp and head out with your partner for the day. The days are busy visiting 3 to 5 very varied gardens with lots of hand weeding, planting, mowing and pruning to be done. Whatever is needed to keep our clients’ gardens looking fabulous. You finish in your last garden between 3.30pm and 4.00pm and head back to North Tonbridge.
We are looking for qualified or experienced gardeners with good plant knowledge. You’ll enjoy helping customers get the best from their garden. You’ll know which plants are weeds, which jobs need doing when and be able to give basic gardening advice.
If you’re the ideal candidate you’ll meet these requirements;
• Have at least 2 years professional gardening experience
• Be customer focused
• Be able to use own initiative
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Demonstrate a can-do attitude
• Happily work outside whatever the weather
• Be cheerful! We try and bring some sunshine to customers even on the greyest of days.
You must have a full (manual) clean UK driving licence that you have held for at least 12 months (to drive the company vans).
We close over Christmas and the time off is in addition to your standard 28 days annual leave and paid.
