…for someone who genuinely loves plants and cares about customers and their gardens. This is a full time, fully-employed position. All tools are provided and you travel between jobs in a Company van.
We are a well-established and growing garden maintenance company looking after a wide variety of gardens around Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.
In a typical day you leave South Tonbridge with your partner for the day at 7.45am sharp. The days are busy visiting 3 or 4 very varied gardens with lots of hand weeding, planting, mowing and pruning to be done. Whatever is needed to keep our clients’ gardens looking fabulous. You finish in your last garden between 4.00pm and 4.30pm and head back to south Tonbridge.
We are looking for a qualified (or very experienced) gardener with good plant knowledge. You’ll enjoy helping customers get the best from their garden. You’ll know which plants are weeds, which jobs need doing when and be able to give basic gardening advice.
If you’re the ideal candidate you’ll meet these requirements;
- Hold either an RHS or City and Guilds Horticultural qualification (or have lots of experience)
- Be customer focused
- Be able to use own initiative
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude
- Happily work outside whatever the weather
- Be cheerful! We try and bring some sunshine to customers even on the greyest of days.
You must have a full (manual) clean UK driving licence that you have held for at least 12 months (to drive the company vans).
It is just too easy to click submit on your CV but the right person for this job will do more that that… they will show us that they are genuinely interested by sending a covering note in the email. It’s not a big ask, but you’ll be amazed how much it makes you stand out. I’ll be honest, without a note it is very unlikely I’ll look at your CV.
So, if you would like to be considered as a serious applicant, and you meet our criteria, just send a short covering note. I look forwards to reading it!
